  1. My roommates and I are looking for a FEMALE/non-smoker to sublet one bedroom in our gorgeous, 3-bedroom apartment for the summer (May 15 to August 15). Move in and move-out dates are slightly flexible. The rent is $1200 per month (negotiable) and includes all amenities, electricity and gas, heat, internet, landline and cable. The bedroom is fully furnished. All you need to bring is your clothes etc. and yourself :-)

Details: We have a spacious, large, airy bedroom available in our 3-bedroom, elevator-doorman apartment from May 15- August 15. It’s a fully-furnished bedroom with a full-bed complete with pillows, comforters, sheets etc, a full-sized closet and chest of drawers, desk, chair, a stereo (with great speakers), two BIG windows that overlook a school playground and plenty of sunlight. The apartment itself is gorgeous and has a LARGE, AIRY living room with over 8 windows and a dining area. We have a fully-equipped kitchen with all the cooking appliances, gadgets, and cutlery and crockery you will need. I have two 2 terrific roommates (One is an Ethiopian nutritionist/chef and the other an Indian- Broadcast Journalist). The rent is $1200 per month which is all-inclusive. No extra electricity, gas, maintenance or internet charges. The building comes with a 24-hr laundry on every floor (you pay for your own laundry using quarters) and there’s also a full service drop-off laundry service on the same block downstairs. We have a 24-hour doorman/concierge service and we’re one block from Central Park (North). We have high speed wireless internet, and a landline. The apartment is on 5th Avenue and 111th Street, and we’re on the 6th floor. See pics link attached and ask to see more pictures.

TRAINS: The building is only one Avenue from the 2 or 3 (red) express line and 2 Avenues from the 6 (green) local line and less than one block away the M 1,2,3 and 4 buses.

IMPORTANT- Who We’re Looking For: We are basically looking for someone above 21 years of age, female, mature yet fun, with varied interests and preferably working (internships okay)or in Grad. school. Most importantly, we need someone who’s definitely big on hygiene and keeping their space clean. If you don’t know much about NYC…the place is at the foot of Harlem. It is perfectly safe and a very diverse neighborhood with a predominantly African American/Hispanic ethnic mix.

  2. I’m seeking a female to re-sign my lease beginning this July, or preferably to take over starting in June. I live in a spacious 2 bedroom apartment in the heart of Murray Hill. (I attest that this is not just “Manhattan standard” spacious, and there is plenty of closet space.) My apartment is a five minute walk to Grand Central/4,5, 6, and 7 lines, which makes the location extremely accessible to uptown, downtown, and cross-town travel. One of the perks of the apartment is certainly the bathroom, which is glitteringly modern and includes its own washer/dryer. We also have a fully equipped kitchen and a furnished living room. The rent is $1350, not including cable/utilities. My current roommate will be staying, so only one room will be available. I’d also be willing to sell some furniture. Please email me at rachelcro@gmail.com if you are interested.

  5. I’m an older Distance Learning student from WA and looking for a sublet for late Aug thru mid-Dec. I hope to complete most of my Masters and will have an extremely heavy course load. Prefer to sublet a 1BR apartment, but will consider other options. Desire non-smoking environment close to Columbia.
